Isla’s World: Exploring Jobs around Town

Isla wakes up under her fluffy blanket and peeks outside. "Wow! Look at all that snow!" she says. She jumps out of bed, grabs her plush toy, and puts on her colorful clothes.

Today Isla is a baker! She pours flour into a big bowl and stirs the dough round and round. "I love mixing the dough!" she says with a happy smile.

Isla plays doctor! She gently wraps a bandage around Mr. Bear's paw. "Don't worry, Mr. Bear, I'll help you!" she says in her kindest voice.

Now Isla pretends to be a mail carrier. She walks to the mailbox with a big grin and slides a letter inside. "Here's your letter, Mrs. Smith!" she calls out.

Look! Isla is a busy builder. She picks up a big red block and carefully places it on top of the tower. "Look how tall I can make it!" she says.

Isla picks up her paintbrush and gets to work like a real artist. She paints a big snowman with tiny snowflakes all around. "This is my snowy picture!" she says.

Here, Isla is an animal doctor! She sits with her stuffed animals and listens to their heartbeats. "You're all very healthy! Hooray!" she cheers.

In a cozy corner, Isla holds up a big book. She reads aloud to all her stuffed friends. "And then the rabbit jumped over the moon!" she says.

Next, Isla is a gardener! She carefully places tiny seeds in the soft ground. "I can't wait to see them bloom in spring!" she says.

Isla yawns and snuggles into her soft bed. What a big day of playing and pretending! A warm smile spreads across her face as she drifts off to sleep, dreaming of all the fun jobs she tried.
