Isla’s World: Utah Spotlight Adventure

Isla is in Utah! Big, tall mountains stretch up all around her. She jumps with joy and feels the warm sun on her face. "Yay! I can't wait to see what fun things are here!"

Here in Salt Lake City, Isla tries something called fry sauce. She dips a fry in and takes a big bite. "Wow! This fry sauce is so yummy!" she says with a smile.

Isla runs between giant red rocks in Zion National Park. The big canyons make her feel tiny! She points up and says, "Look how big those rocks are! They're like giants!"

Now Isla is on a snowy mountain in Park City! The snow is soft and bright like a fluffy blanket. She pretends to ski down the hill, making swooshing sounds. "Skiing seems so fun! Can I try it one day?"

Look! Isla stands under a huge stone arch in Arches National Park. It looks like a big doorway to the sky. She raises her arms wide and smiles at the beautiful view.

Isla sits in a big, dark room watching a movie! Bright colors flash and silly sounds fill the air. The music makes her smile, and she giggles at all the funny parts.

Splash, splash! Isla dips her feet in the Great Salt Lake. The water is very salty and feels so strange on her toes. She giggles as little drops fly up around her.

On Antelope Island, Isla peeks through her binoculars. This is a special place where big bison walk around. "Over there! I see a bison! It's so big!" she says, pointing with joy.

Next, Isla finds a big rock in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Tall rocks stand all around her. She uses her hands to pretend to climb. "I want to climb like that someday!" she says.

In Moab, Isla visits a craft fair! She holds up a smooth little stone she carved all by herself. It feels cool in her hands. "Look at my carved stone! I made it myself!" she says proudly.

Time to say goodbye, Utah! Isla waves and smiles in the warm sunshine. Her heart is full of happy memories from all her adventures.
